No one hurt in Christmas Eve morning fire at a vacant Winnipeg house – Winnipeg | 24CA News

No one was harmed in a Christmas Eve morning home fireplace within the metropolis of Winnipeg.

At 11:34 a.m. crews went to the 600 block of Sargent Avenue for reviews of a fireplace in a vacant two-storey home.

At the scene, firefighters noticed smoke coming from the home and so they attacked the fireplace from inside the home.

Crews searched the home and nobody was discovered inside. No accidents have been reported and no injury estimates can be found right now.

The metropolis says roads have reopened however residents are suggested to be cautious because the water used to struggle the fireplace has frozen and created slippery situations.
