“We were just really looking for something that we could do together as a mom and daughter,” mentioned Meghan Pennell of Moncton, N.B., who has since launched a line of clay earrings along with her six-year-old daughter referred to as Polly Pods.
“It makes me feel really special,” to have a line of knickknack named after her, mentioned Polly.
The pair, which makes an array of vibrant earring kinds at a craft desk of their basement, has been promoting the creations in craft reveals and on-line since February 2022.
“It is just fun. We don’t put any pressure on ourselves we just create when creativity strikes,” mentioned Meaghan.
She mentioned she needs her daughter to be taught that tough work pays off and that being artistic isn’t about perfection – it’s about letting go and having enjoyable and embracing what makes you and your creations distinctive. Their slogan is Perfectly Imperfect.
“That’s what we are. We are perfectly imperfect,” mentioned Meaghan. “These might be flawed just like us but we are learning as we go.”

Polly is not only studying about operating a business and making jewellery, her mother says. She can also be studying that life isn’t all the time excellent and that that there are folks on the earth who wrestle. That is why she selected to donate a part of the proceeds to assist folks in want. Polly donates $1 from each pair she sells to The Humanity Project in Moncton.
“I am going to give it to the homeless because they really need stuff cause they don’t have homes,” mentioned Polly who mentioned those that are unhoused need to really feel particular too.
