Motorcyclists raise ,000 for family of young boy killed in crash – London | 24CA News

A gaggle of motorcyclists rode by means of St. Thomas, Ont., and the encircling space Saturday morning to boost funds for an 11-year-old boy who was killed in a crash.

The experience, which honours Aiden Curtis, was organized by London Motorcycle Rides (LMR), a motorbike fanatic group.

Brent Hunter, one of many organizers for the experience and one of many heads of LMR, says slightly below $3,000 was raised for the household.

“The family was very grateful. Dave, who was the uncle of Aidan, he was riding with us. We turned the money over to him and he was extremely grateful,” he mentioned. “Sarah, Aidan’s mother, also came out and said hello to everybody, and that was great.”

A complete of 64 bikers have been a part of the experience that took roughly 2.5 hours to finish.

Curtis was killed July 4 when a pickup truck left the street and struck 5 pedestrians. Curtis was pronounced useless on the scene.

A 19-year-old man was charged with impaired driving inflicting loss of life and impaired driving inflicting bodily hurt following the crash.

A GoFundMe has raised over $36,000 for the household as of Saturday afternoon.

Hunter says LMR plans to do one other experience to boost cash for one more sufferer of the crash.
