Midtown Toronto outage leaves thousands without power – Toronto | 24CA News
Thousands are with out energy after an outage in Toronto’s midtown space, in keeping with Toronto Hydro.
In a tweet, the facility supplier stated crews have been “completing an assessment of damaged equipment” in an space round St. Clair Avenue East on Monday night.
The space affected ran from Glencairn Avenue south to St. Clair Avenue East and from Avenue Road east to Mount Pleasant Road.
An outage map on the Toronto Hydro web site confirmed Forest Hill South, Davisville Village and Eglinton Park as areas impacted.
“Customers in this area will be experiencing an outage as a result,” the tweet stated.
A spokesperson advised Global News an estimated 4,000 have been with out energy.
It was estimated that energy could possibly be restored by 11:30 p.m.
