Man in critical condition after suffering a heart attack on the Grouse Grind – BC | 24CA News

North Vancouver Fire crews, BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) and North Shore Rescue (NSR) labored collectively to rescue a person affected by a coronary heart assault on the Grouse Grind Sunday afternoon.

12 firefighters together with a health care provider went up the favored path round 5 p.m. to achieve the person and supply first help, in response to Scott Ferguson, an assistant chief with the District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services.

“We had two engines and a rescue crew. Four folks on every truck, in addition to BCEHS paramedics and NSR personnel on scene, Ferguson informed Global News.

“It does take a lot to bring someone down. It’s especially difficult when they’re in medical distress and we’re trying to care for them as we’re coming down the trail.”

The man was taken to hospital is important situation, BCEHS mentioned in an announcement.

First responders haven’t confirmed the age or situation of the person following his rescue.
