Lakeshore East GO service suspended August 11 to 13 weekend | 24CA News
Metrolinx says there will likely be no GO prepare service on the Lakeshore East line this weekend for vital monitor upkeep work.
The closure will start Friday, Aug. 11 at round 9:30 p.m. and final all day Saturday and Sunday.
Regular service is predicted to renew on Monday, Aug. 14.
GO buses will solely exchange prepare service at Durham College Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, Pickering GO, and Union Station Bus Terminal.
The buses won’t be out there at Rouge Hill, Guildwood, Eglinton, Scarborough or Danforth GO stations.
Metrolinx mentioned TTC will present service to prospects travelling between Rouge Hill-Danforth and Union station.
However, Metrolinx warns that buses do not need the identical capability as trains.
“Shuttle buses may experience longer than normal travel times,” the transit company mentioned.
Metrolinx added that prospects can use different GO Transit choices equivalent to GO bus routes 92 or 96 to attach with native transit.
“These temporary changes are critical for track maintenance near Whitby GO, bridge rehabilitation at Rouge River + Birchmount Road, Stouffville rail corridor expansion and platform work at Eglinton GO,” the transit company mentioned.
