Something is popping up on the Shelldale Centre.

The City of Guelph is bringing again the plazaPOPS program this summer season with the assistance of Our Food Future’s Reimagine Food initiative.

The venture will see a gathering house and backyard packing containers put in contained in the car parking zone of the centre.

“It’s benches, garden boxes with fresh herbs and pollinator plants, shade structure and umbrellas,” mentioned Ashlee Cooper, supervisor of meals fairness and neighborhood resiliency on the City of Guelph.

“It’s really taking an underutilized public space, making it inviting, making it a place where people can gather and enjoy their time outside together.”
