Edmonton man arrested for robbery, staff threatened with knife – Edmonton | 24CA News
An Edmonton man is going through a number of expenses after police say a person brandished a knife when he was confronted for shoplifting.
St. Albert, Alta., Mounties say they had been known as to a Canadian Tire on July 12 at 8:45 p.m., after employees approached a person who was shoplifting and making an attempt to go away the shop. The man produced a knife and threatened patrons whereas he ran out of the shop.
In a press release Friday, St. Albert RCMP mentioned they responded to the theft and situated the suspect operating behind St. Albert Centre in direction of the footbridge by the Sturgeon River.
Police say the person was arrested with out incident within the inexperienced area.
Dorian McBean, 38, a resident of Edmonton, was charged with theft, possession of a weapon for a harmful objective and theft.
McBean was launched from custody and is scheduled to seem in St. Albert provincial courtroom on Aug. 14.
