An Edmonton-based animal rescue says it’s in disaster with an abundance of animals needing to be adopted and “ceaseless” requests to assist deserted animals.

Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS) stated it was referred to as to assist with an deserted canine in Athabasca County who had just lately had puppies, in addition to a canine close to Lloydminster that had been shot and left at a rural intersection.

“Too many pets like these are being abandoned,” stated SCARS.

The rescue stated it has greater than 450 animals in care – greater than double what it sometimes has – and fears not with the ability to assist with these emergencies.
