Cougar warnings issued for Cochrane, Kananaskis Country following multiple sightings | 24CA News
A pair of cougar sightings in communities west of Calgary have authorities warning individuals within the space to make use of warning when strolling or climbing within the space.
After a cougar was seen close to YMCA’s Camp Chief Hector on Aug. 7 and eight, Alberta Parks issued a warning of cougar exercise within the space situated roughly 80 kilometres west of Calgary.
Alberta Parks stated there have been no reported incidents of human-wildlife interactions on the camp and the camp was persevering with its operations internet hosting campers. Conservation officers are supporting camp workers whereas the warnings are in place.
On Friday, the Town of Cochrane, Alta., stated a cougar had been noticed close to the Cochrane RancheHome.
