Bath, Ont. residents searching for answers amid mysterious power outages – Kingston | 24CA News

A suburban group simply exterior of Kingston, Ont., is coping with an uncommon electrical drawback, they usually need solutions.

Various Bath, Ont., residents say that for the previous few months, their energy has gone out seemingly at random for a few hours practically each week.

“It just seems like there’s no reason for it. It’s always on calm and sunny days, it stayed on during that storm at Christmas,” stated Mary Willing, a Bath resident since 2015.

Willing stated there’s no rhyme or cause to the outages — some homes are affected whereas others aren’t. The occurrences have brought about points for residents.

“Like when I’m doing laundry, or when I’m trying to cook or with the cars going in and out of the garage. It’s just really frustrating,” stated Jaymee Davis, who’s lived in Bath along with her household since 2016.

The challenge has been a focal point in a area people Facebook group, however no one’s gotten any solutions as to why these outages are taking place or how lengthy they’ll proceed.

“People have called and they say someone’s going to get back to them but no one’s gotten back to them,” stated Willing.

Hydro One stated that they’re wanting into the matter, offering maybe a glimmer of hope for Bath residents that the mysterious outages will cease quickly.
