Alberta program trains rural health care workers in supporting sex assault victims  | 24CA News

A newly-developed course that may prepare rural health-care suppliers to raised help victims of sexual assault is now open for enrolment via a northern Alberta post-secondary.

The Alberta authorities mentioned $1 million in funding — first introduced in October — helped Grande Prairie’s Northwestern Polytechnic develop an internet course for specialised coaching.

The course, referred to as Rural Sexual Assault Care-Expanded, teaches present complete, trauma-informed care to survivors of current intercourse assaults.
