42-year-old man dead following crash in Digby County, N.S. – Halifax | 24CA News
A person has died following a single-vehicle crash in a Digby County, N.S. neighborhood on Saturday morning.
According to a launch, police stated first responders arrived on the scene of the incident on Highway 217 at about 5:30 a.m. after they found a Mazda left the roadway and got here to relaxation in a close-by ditch.
“The driver of the Mazda and lone occupant, a 42-year-old Scotch Village man, was pronounced deceased at the scene,” police stated.
The space of the freeway, situated in the neighborhood of Central Grove, was closed for a number of hours whereas a collision reconstructionist attended the scene. It has since reopened.
An investigation is ongoing.
“Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time.” police stated.
