Mediator’s terms to end B.C. port strike have been received by both sides, source says
A supply near negotiations over the British Columbia port strike mentioned each side on Wednesday acquired the phrases of a settlement beneficial by a federal mediator that would finish the 12-day-old industrial motion.
The supply of the phrases comes after federal Labour Minister Seamus O’Regan late Tuesday instructed the mediator to ship him the phrases inside 24 hours so he might ahead them to the International Longshore and Warehouse Union Canada and the B.C. Maritime Employers Association.
The two sides have 24 hours upon receiving the suggestions to resolve whether or not or to not ratify the settlement.
Neither facet confirmed they’ve acquired the phrases.
