With sunshine and heat temperatures within the rapid climate forecast, heading out to play in your nearest sports activities discipline could seem to be a good suggestion.
However, the City of Kelowna is asking that residents maintain off for the following two weeks or so.
The metropolis says all of its sports activities fields are at the moment closed and can stay so till they’ve been prepped for motion.
“Sports fields require extra care after the colder winter months to keep them safe and suitable for play,” stated town, including it is going to be testing irrigation methods and in addition cultivating high quality turf.
“Early play on sports fields could lead to player injuries and closure of fields altogether, so residents are asked to keep off the fields until they are ready.”
The metropolis says ball diamonds are scheduled to open on Friday, April 5, whereas its remaining fields will open on Friday, April 12 – climate allowing.
