First baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. won’t be within the lineup on Friday when the Blue Jays face the Yankees, in keeping with Sportsnet’s Arden Zwelling.
Guerrero jammed the center finger on his left hand throughout a plate look in Tuesday’s 6-5 loss to the Pirates. He went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts within the recreation.
The crew is giving the 24-year-old just a few days off to get better and heal, in keeping with Zwelling. His subsequent scheduled look within the lineup is Saturday in opposition to the Phillies.
