King Charles III launched an announcement on Wednesday sending condolences to these affected by the devastating wildfires in B.C. and the Northwest Territories.
“My wife and I were desperately concerned to learn of the recent states of emergency declared in the Northwest Territories and British Columbia due to wildfires,” mentioned the King.
“We recall with great fondness our visit to Yellowknife and the Northwest Territories last year and we can only begin to imagine the heartbreak in those communities as they face this disastrous situation”.
This month’s wildfires within the Northwest Territories prompted evacuation orders for Yellowknife, Hay River and surrounding communities – about 20,000 evacuees. The fires destroyed a lot of the hamlet of Enterprise. Earlier this month, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke about what he referred to as the “apocalyptic devastation” attributable to wildfires within the area.
In B.C., The wildfires in Kelowna and West Kelowna have destroyed practically 200 constructions and fires there and elsewhere in that province have pressured many individuals to flee their properties.
