Saskatchewan is providing additional drought reduction for livestock producers and farmers struggling by a dry harvest.
The provincial authorities introduced $70 million on Monday to assist offset feed prices and preserve Saskatchewan herds.
“Immediate measures are needed as farmers and ranchers deal with significant challenges due to drought,” Agriculture Minister David Marit stated. “Our government is committed to ensuring livestock producers have the support they need, as they continue to provide the high-quality food Saskatchewan families rely on.”
