Tajikistan replaces Lebanon in Merdeka Cup; India vs Malaysia remains unchanged

Tajikistan will exchange Lebanon — after it withdrew —  within the upcoming Merdeka Cup, a soccer match held to commemorate Malaysia’s Independence Day. The match, which bears the Malay phrase for independence, was one of many oldest and most prestigious worldwide soccer tournaments in Asia till it was stopped in 2013.

It was as soon as considered the ‘Grand Old Lady of Asia’ the place high groups from all over the world would compete.

India has seen a few of its stars of the Golden Era, particularly P. K. Banerjee and Tulsidas Balaram, shine within the match.

The host, Malaysia, stays essentially the most profitable workforce with 10 titles.

India has completed as runner-up twice, in 1959 and 1964, and final participated in 2001. The Blue Tigers’ opening fixture towards Malaysia stays unchanged. All matches can be performed on the Bukit Jalil National Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
