WestJet adjusts prices, flight schedule amid Yellowknife evacuation efforts
WestJet says it is adjusting costs and including capability to assist with evacuation efforts in Yellowknife.
Residents of town and two close by First Nations have been ordered out by midday Friday whereas crews combat fires which have already pressured hundreds to evacuate.
The airline says it is added an additional restoration flight scheduled for Thursday between Yellowknife and Calgary, and added bigger plane to function beforehand scheduled flights between the cities.
It says it has adjusted fare courses to keep away from value escalation and has introduced versatile tips for modifications and cancellations for all company travelling to Yellowknife between Aug. 17 and 22.
WestJet says it has elevated its limits on pets in cabins in order that extra company can deliver pets onboard.
The airline says it has proactively cancelled six flights on Friday and Saturday.
