Two weeks after a torrential downpour triggered devastating flooding, components of Nova Scotia are being hit with extra heavy rain in the present day.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the Halifax space together with components of central, northern and japanese Nova Scotia.
The forecast says rainfall quantities will vary from 50 to 70 millimetres and will attain as excessive as 100 millimetres in some areas.
The rain is anticipated to taper off in western areas of the province because the day progresses and the system strikes eastward.
Halifax police have reported some localized flooding on roads and highways and they’re advising motorists to train warning.
Last month’s storm, which dumped 250 millimetres of rain in some components of the province, led to intensive flash flooding in a number of low-lying areas.
