The seek for a 14-year-old who went lacking in Lake Ontario has led to tragedy, police say.
Emergency providers in Hamilton started a search on Saturday after a 14-year-old went out onto the lake with their mates.
Police stated the youth was on a floatation machine that went underwater. Around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, a search operation started with varied emergency providers scanning the lake for indicators of the lacking teen.
The search concerned native police, fireplace, paramedics, coast guard, provincial police and members of the Canadian Air Force.
On Sunday search efforts continued, with no updates on both Monday or Tuesday.
Hamilton police introduced late on Wednesday that the 14-year-old had been discovered lifeless.
Officers thanked residents and emergency crews for his or her “incredible efforts” in the course of the search.
