54-year-old Dartmouth man dead following motorcycle crash in rural N.S. – Halifax | 24CA News
A 54-year-old man is lifeless after a bike crash in a small neighborhood in West Hants, N.S., on Saturday afternoon.
According to a launch from the RCMP, first responders arrived on the scene in Newport Station at about 3 p.m., the place they decided the bike had left the highway whereas travelling on Highway 1.
“The driver and sole rider, a 54-year-old Dartmouth man, passed away at the scene,” police stated.
The freeway space between Wentworth Road and Salmon Hole Dam Road has since reopened after being closed for a number of hours to permit a collision reconstructionist to examine the scene of the incident.
“Our thoughts are with the victim’s family at this difficult time,” police stated.
The West Hants District RCMP stated the investigation continues to be ongoing.
