Blue Jays shake up batting order ahead of series opener vs. Rangers
The Toronto Blue Jays have made some adjustments to their batting order forward of Friday’s sport in opposition to the Texas Rangers.
Left-fielder Whit Merrifield will hit second within the sport, between George Springer and Bo Bichette. Centerfielder Daulton Varsho, who had been hitting larger within the lineup, will hit eighth on Friday.

Merrifield has been among the many Blue Jays’ finest hitters not too long ago. In the final 13 video games Merrifield has 16 hits, together with 4 doubles, and has a .906 OPS. Varsho, who has 11 house runs this season, has struggled to get on base not too long ago and has simply seven hits in his final six video games.
In addition to the lineup adjustments, the Blue Jays recalled prospect Spencer Horwitz for the primary time from triple-A Buffalo. The left-handed first baseman will present supervisor John Schneider extra choices because the Jays look to spark their offence.
