Woman sent to hospital after Rogers Arena railing collapse at UFC 289 | 24CA News
A girl was despatched to hospital after a guard railing collapsed throughout UFC 289 Saturday night time at Rogers Arena.
The collapse occurred simply as Canadian fighter Mike Malott started his walkout to the cage for his battle.
Videos on social media caught the collapse because it occurred. In the movies, round a dozen followers may be seen leaning over the railing because it breaks away, with a few employees members straight beneath.

Rogers Arena posted a press release on its Twitter web page.
“The safety of our fans is our number one priority at Rogers Arena. At (Saturday’s) UFC event, as fans leaned over to greet the fighters a railing fell down. Our arena staff worked quickly to relocate fans in the affected area and no serious injuries were reported. Venue security and staff remained on-site throughout the rest of the evening to ensure everyone’s safety,” employees stated.
A rope was used to switch the railing, which was eliminated after the collapse.
Global News has reached out to the City of Vancouver for remark.
