Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez, who helped Manchester United seize a pair of Premier League titles, would require proper knee surgical procedure and be sidelined indefinitely, the Los Angeles Galaxy introduced Friday.

Hernandez, Mexico’s all-time targets chief, suffered a torn proper anterior cruciate ligament in the course of the Galaxy’s 3-2 loss to Real Salt Lake on Wednesday within the US Open Cup quarterfinals.
