A development employee on the Regina International Airport property has died after an incident that occurred Friday night time.
Officials stated a “serious accident” occurred at round 11:30 p.m. on May 26, associated to the 13-31 runway overlay venture.
“Emergency responders attended the scene immediately, but unfortunately the injuries the individual suffered were fatal,” The Regina International Airport stated in a launch.
They stated Regina Police and the Saskatchewan Coroners Service labored into the early morning hours on the airfield, and federal occupational well being and security employees could be conducting an investigation.
Next of kin have been being notified.
Normal runway operations and flights have been persevering with as scheduled.
