Pérez notches first MLB win in second career start
MIAMI – The spectacle that comes with a Major League debut is over and accomplished.
Thursday afternoon marked Marlins No. 1 prospect Eury Pérez’s second begin, and it was even higher than his first as he picked up his first win in a 5-3 victory over the Nationals at loanDepot park. The 20-year-old right-hander went 5 innings, permitting one run on three hits with one stroll and 6 strikeouts.
As supervisor Skip Schumaker and normal supervisor Kim Ng famous when it was introduced Pérez can be known as up, the group will monitor his pitch counts and innings. Thursday’s collection finale was no exception, as he was pulled after 78 pitches (48 strikes).
