Quebec’s agriculture division says it has seized 38 cattle from the central Quebec farm that was dwelling to a gaggle of fugitive cows that escaped final summer time and went on the run for months.

Yohan Dallaire Boily, a spokesman for the agriculture division, says the cattle had been seized from Ferme Clément Lapointe et fils after a latest inspection discovered the protection and well-being of among the animals was in danger.

He says the animals can be assessed by a veterinarian and {that a} report can be submitted to prosecutors, who will decide whether or not any prices can be laid.

Twenty-four cattle escaped from the farm in Saint-Barnabé, Que., round 130 kilometres northeast of Montreal, in July.
