Guelph professor a finalist for Trillium book award – Guelph | 24CA News
A University of Guelph professor is on the brief record for the 2023 Trillium Book Award for Poetry.
Madhur Anand, an ecology professor within the School of Environmental Sciences, has a e-book out titled Parasitic Oscillations.
According to a news launch, Anand’s e-book is a set of poems about ambiguous grief that’s “very personal,” and attracts from her experiences in each artwork and science as somebody residing between the cultures of North America and India.
The e-book appeared on plenty of high lists, together with the Globe and Mail Top 100 Book.
This is Anand’s third e-book and second assortment of poetry. Her first assortment of poems, A New Index for Predicting Catastrophes, was a finalist for the 2016 Trillium award.
Her 2020 memoir, This Red Line Goes Straight to Your Heart, gained the Governor General’s Literary Award for non-fiction.
The winner of the 2023 Trillium Book Award for Poetry will probably be introduced throughout a personal ceremony on Tuesday, June 20 in Toronto hosted by CBC’s Heather Hiscox.
