Tens of 1000’s of NB Power prospects have been with out electrical energy Monday as a result of an unplanned outage.
As of three:30 p.m., greater than 24,000 prospects have been with out energy, in accordance with the NB Power outage map. That quantity was as much as 45,000 earlier within the day.
About 13,000 outages have been within the Charlotte southwest space. An extra 6,400 have been within the Central York Sunbury space, and three,700 have been in Victoria Madawaska.
In a press release, NB Power spokesperson Dominique Couture mentioned nearly all of prospects with out energy within the Fredericton and Charlotte southwest areas have been impacted by an outage within the transmission system.
“Crews are currently on site to investigate and restore power safely and efficiently to customers,” mentioned Couture.
“We are also seeing scattered outages due to high winds and significant rain in certain areas which crews are addressing at this time.”
The estimated restoration time for a lot of the impacted areas are between 4 and 6 p.m.
