A staff of University of Guelph science college students are into the finals of a contest that goals to find out one of the best ways to develop meals in outer area.
The staff named Canada GOOSE (Growth Options for Outer Space Environments) is on to the third and closing part within the Canadian Space Agency’s Deep Space Food Challenge.
It was launched in partnership with Impact Canada in 2021 to encourage new applied sciences to supply meals for each future area missions, and harsh or distant environments on Earth.
Canada GOOSE developed a prototype chamber that may develop fruits, greens and mushrooms with out soil, daylight or recent water.
In the ultimate stage, they may construct a full-scale meals manufacturing system that may produce each nutritious and palatable meals over the long run.
