Canada carries out 1st evacuation flight from Sudan, minister says – National | 24CA News

The federal authorities has performed its first evacuation flight from war-torn Sudan, National Defence Minister Anita Anand says.

Anand didn’t share particulars apart from saying the evacuation flight occurred on an RCAF C-130 Hercules plane. She promised additional particulars will are available an announcement Thursday morning in Enfield, N.S.

About 200 members of the Canadian Armed Forces have deployed to the area together with army planes and ships for evacuation operations.
