Police are investigating after two 18-foot, 700-pound metal beams had been stolen from the Heart’s Haven Memorial Park in Debert, N.S., a 16-acre park being constructed to honour the lives of two ladies killed within the Nova Scotia mass capturing in 2020.
The two beams had been provided to develop a bridge to attach the memorial websites of Kristen Beaton and Heather O’Brien, two health-care employees who had been each killed within the space on that day.
Nick Beaton, husband of Kristen Beaton, took to Facebook on Friday and supplied a money reward for additional info that will result in the whereabouts of the stolen objects.
RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Andrew Joyce says police obtained a report of the theft round 3:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon.
