No charges for Quebec police officers who allegedly beat Senegalese diplomat  | 24CA News

Quebec’s prosecution service says it is not going to lay expenses towards the Gatineau, Que., cops who allegedly beat a Senegalese diplomat in August.

Spokeswoman Patricia Johnson says prosecutors dominated out expenses after they acquired a report on the incident by Quebec’s police watchdog — Bureau des enquêtes indépendantes.

The Senegalese Embassy has alleged that diplomat Niang Oumou Kalsoum Sall was overwhelmed so severely by police that she needed to be transported to hospital.

Gatineau police have stated they had been known as to the diplomat’s residence to help a bailiff making an attempt to grab property in reference to a court docket order for her to pay a former landlord $45,000.

Police claimed Kalsoum Sall, who has diplomatic immunity, bit and struck officers who arrived on the scene.

The Senegalese Embassy in Ottawa didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
