Public, Catholic school boards sign on protocol aimed at detecting violent threats | 24CA News
The Upper Grand District School Board and the Wellington Catholic District School Board are signing on to an initiative geared toward assessing potential threats in the direction of faculties and the neighborhood at giant.
Members from 16 neighborhood companions have been in Mono, Ont., on Thursday to signal the Guelph-Wellington-Dufferin Violence Threat Risk Assessment (VTRA) neighborhood protocol.
Member organizations on this protocol embody the Canadian Mental Health Association of Waterloo Wellington, Family and Children’s Services of Guelph and Wellington County, Guelph Police Services, Guelph Wellington Women in Crisis, and the John Howard Society of Waterloo-Wellington.

In a news launch, the aim of the VTRA protocol is to scale back violence, handle threats of violence and promote particular person, college and neighborhood security.
They say that is executed by proactively gathering data, understanding wants and mitigating danger with a caring wrap-around method.
The VTRA protocol is meant for use by multi-disciplinary groups educated within the concept and observe of trauma knowledgeable threat-risk evaluation by way of VTRA Assessment coaching.
Initial funding for this was made attainable by an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant.
