Blue Jays recall OF Lukes from Buffalo, send Luplow down to triple-A

The Toronto Blue Jays have recalled outfielder Nathan Lukes from triple-A Buffalo and despatched fellow outfielder Jordan Luplow all the way down to their high minor-league affiliate, the workforce introduced Monday.

Lukes made the Blue Jays’ Opening Day roster earlier than he was optioned to Buffalo on April 7 to make room for Luplow, who was claimed off waivers from the Atlanta Braves.

Lukes, 28, hasn’t had an at-bat within the majors. He is slashing .333/.448/.500 with one homer and 6 RBI in six video games with Buffalo this yr.

Luplow has no hits in six at-bats with the Blue Jays this season.
