Avalanche Canada says a celebration of three had been snowmobiling Saturday above Whirlpool Lake when two riders had been caught in an avalanche that was reportedly triggered close to a rocky characteristic on a slope.
One rider managed to journey off to the facet, avoiding the avalanche, however the different was buried in roughly two metres of snow.
