Blue Jays grab OF Jordan Luplow off waivers from Braves

The Toronto Blue Jays claimed outfielder Jordan Luplow off waivers from the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday and optioned him to triple-A Buffalo.

Luplow, 29, is a former third-round choose of the Pirates (2014) who performed 83 video games with the Arizona Diamondbacks final season, batting .176 and hitting 11 homers. The Braves signed Luplow within the low season and he was designated for project after hitting .300 in three video games with triple-A Gwinnett. He has 323 video games of MLB expertise, batting .213 with 88 extra-base hits and 120 RBI.

In different strikes, the Jays transferred pitcher Hyun Jin Ryu to the 60-day injured checklist as he recovers from Tommy John surgical procedure.
