Health Canada is recalling a line of rechargeable LED self-importance mirrors over issues that the lithium-ion battery may overheat, posing a fireplace hazard.


The recall impacts greater than 60,000 Sunter Rechargeable LED Vanity Mirrors offered in Canada. The affected merchandise have the date sticker “03/2022” or “04/2022” on the underside of the bottom and have been offered from May 2022 to February 2023.


Since March 20, 2023, there have been six stories of battery-overheating in Canada, and 5 of those incidents prompted property injury. No accidents have been reported.
