Manchester City have condemned the actions of people liable for inflicting injury to Liverpool’s crew bus on their return journey following Saturday’s Premier League conflict on the Etihad.
City, which gained the sport 4-1, mentioned an object was thrown in direction of the bus in a residential space.
Greater Manchester Police mentioned they’d launched an investigation after studies of prison injury and mentioned there have been no accidents, including that the bus continued with its journey.
“Incidents of this kind are totally unacceptable, and we strongly condemn the actions of the individual(s) responsible,” City, the reigning league champions, mentioned in a press release.
“We will fully support Greater Manchester Police’s investigation into this incident in any way we can.”
City additionally mentioned the membership had been upset to have heard “inappropriate chants” from their followers through the recreation.
“We regret any offence these chants may have caused and will continue to work with supporter groups and officials from both clubs to eradicate hateful chanting from this fixture,” the assertion added.
