Quebec police carry out anti-drug trafficking raids targeting Hells Angels, Mafia  | 24CA News

Several police forces throughout Quebec are taking part in joint anti-drug trafficking raids throughout the province focusing on members of the Hells Angels and the Mafia.

Police say they’re conducting eight operations, together with in Montreal, Laval and Estérel, in Quebec’s Laurentians area.

Provincial police Sgt. Audrey-Anne Bilodeau wouldn’t say whose residences are being searched however mentioned they concerned essential figures within the province’s organized crime world.

The raids are being performed by a blended police power that focuses on organized crime.

Bilodeau says police are focusing on a cocaine trafficking community.

She says police aren’t planning any arrests Wednesday however are looking for proof that would result in arrests.

“Some people in this network are influential people, including members of the Hells Angels and other less influential people, but who are still involved in this drug trafficking network, which we wanted to put an end to,” Bilodeau mentioned.
