Memphis guard-forward Dillon Brooks will serve a one-game suspension Wednesday after getting slapped along with his 18th technical foul of the season throughout a recreation Monday night time.
Under NBA guidelines, a participant is robotically suspended with out pay for one recreation as soon as he receives his sixteenth technical foul. For each two extra technical fouls acquired throughout that common season, he can be robotically suspended with out pay for an extra recreation.
Brooks was issued the most recent tech for taunting the Dallas Mavericks’ bench, particularly Theo Pinson. It occurred with 7:31 remaining within the third quarter of the Grizzlies’ win over the Mavs.
“… I just wanna let (Pinson) know he’s a cheerleader,” stated Brooks, who pantomimed waving pom-poms.
Brooks scored 9 factors within the win. He’s averaging 14.2 factors per recreation on the season.
He’ll miss Wednesday’s residence recreation towards Houston.
