Hockey Canada hires vice-president, diversity and inclusion

CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada has introduced that famend variety, inclusion and human rights chief Irfan Chaudhry has been employed because the group’s first vice-president, variety and inclusion, and can start his function on April 12.

The founding father of Grow the Game, a hub for anti-racism sources for the hockey neighborhood, Chaudhry was introduced with the Emerging Leadership Award by the Canadian Association for the Prevention of Discrimination and Harassment in Higher Education in 2018, and lately was awarded the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal in recognition of his vital contribution to Alberta. 

Since 2022, Chaudhry has been a member of the Hockey Canada Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group, which helps the implementation of the group’s fairness, variety and inclusion strategic plan, and supplies session and suggestions to speed up variety and inclusion objectives and monitor outcomes.
