The Air Canada Pilots Association says it has reached an settlement in precept on a attainable merger with the Air Line Pilots Association — the biggest airline pilot union on the earth.
In a launch Tuesday the 2 associations stated the deal would now be voted on by Air Canada pilots in addition to ALPA’s govt council and govt board.
Both associations say the settlement brings them nearer to reaching the joint aim of advancing the piloting career and aviation security in Canada and the United States.

The Air Canada Pilots Association says it represents greater than 4,500 members who fly passengers and cargo on Air Canada and Air Canada rouge with pilot bases in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver.
The Air Line Pilots Association says it represents greater than 67,000 pilots at 39 U.S. and Canadian airways.
