A lacking snowmobiler was delivered to security within the early hours Saturday morning after a near eight-hour rescue.

Vernon Search and Rescue have been tasked by the RCMP round 6 p.m. Friday to find and rescue the lacking snowmobiler, who turned misplaced and caught within the backcountry after separating from their celebration.

VSAR says the misplaced snowmobiler was capable of activate their iPhone SOS and SPOT gadget to ship out a location.
