One of Toronto’s best-known avenue festivals will return this summer time, a neighborhood councillor says.
The Taste of the Danforth pageant, which was cancelled in 2022 and has not been held since earlier than the pandemic, can be open in 2023.
Paula Fletcher, native metropolis councillor, introduced the news in a tweet. “Taste of the Danforth a go for 2023,” she tweeted.
Fletcher stated that the native GreekTown BIA had voted to rent an occasion planner to verify the pageant befell.

In 2022, organizers stated they had been pressured to cancel the pageant on account of a “short timeline” to adapt to adjustments made to Danforth Avenue through the pandemic.
Organizers had beforehand warned that patios bobbing up by way of town’s CafeTO program and new bike lanes had been consuming up area utilized by the pageant.
