A partnership between the Weeneebayko Area Health Authority (WAHA), Queen’s University, and the Mastercard Foundation has been shaped to assist develop schooling and employment alternatives for Indigenous youth by creating the Queen’s Weeneebayko Health Education Program.
WAHA and Queen’s Health Sciences will co-develop a college curriculum for well being professions coaching within the western James Bay area.
Queen’s says this system will put together Indigenous college students for careers in drugs, nursing, midwifery, and different well being professions by culturally knowledgeable schooling.
The college provides that programming and sources can be created to allow native youth to pursue well being professions coaching proper from highschool.
