Canada’s federal privateness watchdog has launched a joint investigation with three provincial counterparts into the controversial social media utility TikTok.

The federal privateness commissioner introduced Thursday that their workplace will be a part of privateness watchdogs in Quebec, British Columbia and Alberta to “jointly investigate the short-form video streaming application,” a publish on the federal watchdog’s web site stated.
