Three fatal overdoses reported during the last week in south Saskatchewan  | 24CA News

Saskatchewan RCMP is warning the general public of the presence of harmful illicit medication within the south and southeast areas of Saskatchewan after responding to 3 deadly overdoses involving suspected methamphetamine (meth) or fentanyl prior to now week.

On Feb. 9, Assiniboia RCMP responded to a report of an unresponsive man present in an Assiniboia house. EMS discovered the 21-year-old man useless on the scene. Police officers discovered crystals and an off-white powder which is believed to be meth or fentanyl.

On Feb. 13, Moosomin RCMP responded to an unresponsive man present in a resort room in Moosomin. EMS and law enforcement officials tried CPR however the 22-year-old man was declared deceased on the scene.

Police officers discovered a light-coloured powder on the scene suspected to be meth or fentanyl.

The subsequent day on Feb.14, Canora/Sturgis RCMP responded to a report of an unresponsive lady discovered outdoors a house in Preeceville. The 50-year-old feminine was taken to Preeceville Hospital the place she was pronounced useless.
